If you live and work in the UAE, you may be able to sponsor your family. This guide explains the general requirements and steps.
General requirements
- A valid UAE residence visa
- Meeting the minimum salary or income requirement
- Proof of suitable accommodation such as a tenancy contract
- Health insurance for dependants
Documents
- Passport copies and photos
- Emirates ID of the sponsor
- Attested marriage certificate (spouse)
- Attested birth certificates (children)
Process
Apply for the entry permit, complete status change if the family is already in the UAE, take the medical test, apply for the Emirates ID and stamp the visa.
Tip
Start attestation of marriage and birth certificates early. It is often the slowest part.
